Plain English
The contract between us.
A short, fair contract between you and Rarest Form Limited, the UK company behind Compass. Read it once.
Last updated 3 September 2026.
Who we are
Rarest Form Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17433459), registered office 26 Cromwell Road, Ascot, SL5 9DG, United Kingdom. Compass is a product of Rarest Form Limited.
What we provide
A private, solo reflective practice on the web. Compass gives you seven stretches of a walk, each with a question and some smaller cues; a place to write a reflection for each one; somewhere to keep the insights worth keeping and to seal letters to a future self; and a way to open the whole of it as one printable private document.
Compass is solo. It has no group, cohort, pod, facilitator or accountability partner, and no coaching, therapy or human support is included or implied.
What this is not
Compass is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment or a crisis service, and it is not a substitute for any of them. Some of the stretches deliberately go near shame, anger and grief. You decide how far to go and you may stop at any point. If something opens that needs a person rather than a page, please contact your GP, a qualified therapist, or — if you are in immediate distress in the UK — the Samaritans on 116 123.
Who can hold an account
Adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account. One account, one person: Compass is written for one man alone with a page, and sharing a login defeats the only thing it is for.
What is yours
Everything you write. You own your reflections, your insights and your letters, completely. We hold them for you and render them as a document when you ask, but we never own them and we never claim a licence to use them. You can print or save the document at any time, free, and what you have saved stays yours forever.
What is ours
The question and cue text of the seven stretches, the editorial design of the document, the brand mark, and the software that runs the service. Screenshot your own pages for any purpose you like. Please do not reproduce the question set elsewhere as your own work.
Cost
Compass is free to begin, and there is no paid tier at present. If one is ever introduced it will be optional, clearly priced and cancellable at any time, and it will not take away access to what you have already written or your ability to print it.
Endings
You can ask us to delete your account, and everything in it, whenever you want. If we ever stop offering Compass, we will give 90 days’ notice by email and keep the printable document working throughout, so nobody loses writing they cannot get back. What you have written does not become an asset for someone else to acquire.
Availability
We try to keep Compass up and working, but it is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
English law. Disputes settled by the English courts. If you are in the EU, your local consumer rights still apply.
